My name is Nadia, and I have a B.Sc. in Climatology from the University of Tehran, Tehran, Iran (Ranked 1st among Iran's universities based on USNews). My last two-year GPA is 3.7 out of 4.0. My thesis was about the assessment of climate change's effect on precipitation and temperature of Tehran.
I should mention that I have used Python, R, GIS, GrADS, ENVI, DIP, Surfer, WrPLOT, and SPSS in several projects. I have obtained a score of 4.0 out of 4.0 in statistics and probabilities courses, the principle of geographic information systems, Climatic and weather maps of the database, and Dynamic climatology. Also, I have had the opportunity of being a research assistant at the University of Regina for about a year. Still, Due to the epidemic and the lab's closure, I had to return to Iran. I was responsible for calculating the climatic index for the prairie, sorting climatic data and doing some literature review, and extracting tree-ring. Besides, I was a Teacher Assistant at the University of Regina – Regina, SK, Canada, for physical geography. In September 2022, I will begin my graduate program in Masters of Science in Geography at York University (Toronto, Ontario). I'll be working on "Boreal fire disturbance boundary characterization through space and time" under the supervision of Dr. Tarmo K Remmel.
